Lovense's New Toy Reads Your Touch, Not Your Phone

Lovense's Glint is the world's first touch-responsive butt plug for couples. It syncs vibration to your partner's thrust—no phone needed. Here's how it works.

Lovense just dropped something that might change how couples think about toys during sex. It's called Glint, and it's being billed as the world's first touch-responsive butt plug for couples. Instead of syncing to an app or a remote, Glint responds to skin contact. That means every thrust, every touch, every shift in position translates into vibration. No phone required. ### So, what makes Glint different? Most couple toys still rely on a phone or remote for control. Glint flips that. A sensor in the base reads how much of it is covered, at what angle, and for how long. Then it adjusts vibration across five intensity levels. A fingertip gets a gentle pulse. A palm—or a partner's thrust—gets a stronger response. It's designed to make anal stimulation sync with your rhythm, not distract from it. > "For years, we've been thinking about one question," said Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense. "What should a toy for couples to use during sex look like, and what should it do? We're confident Glint is a distinctive answer." And it's small. At just 0.84 inches in diameter and 55 grams, it's beginner-friendly and won't compete for space during intercourse. That's a common concern with wearable couple vibrators, and Lovense seems to have addressed it head-on. ### How it works (and why it matters) Setting up Glint is a one-time thing. You choose a sensitivity level and one of three response modes in the Lovense Remote app: - **Pulse:** Up to three rhythmic pulses per touch-and-hold. - **Sustain:** Vibrates for as long as skin stays on the base. - **Crescendo:** Starts low, builds while contact continues, then resets. After that, the phone can go back in the drawer. During intercourse, each thrust against the base triggers vibration, so the anal stimulation moves with you. In foreplay, a partner's hand does the same. Either partner can wear it. ### More than just a solo act Glint also plays well with others—Lovense devices, that is. Through Toy Sync, the base can drive other toys. If your partner wears the Edge 2 prostate massager, each thrust or touch changes the vibration in both toys at once. Glint also pairs with Lush 4 and Gush 2 Motion. One touch can reach several devices across the ecosystem. For creators, Glint works with Lovense's tip-activated streaming tools, just like the rest of the range. And if you're curious about data, there's an optional Touch Records feature (off by default) that shows touch frequency and duration after each session. ### The bottom line Lovense is positioning Glint as a couple's toy first and an anal toy second. It's not about vibration strength—it's about syncing with movement. For retailers, that means it belongs on the shelf with couple toys and beginner anal toys, not fill-oriented plugs. For couples, it might just change the way you think about toys during sex. And that's a pretty big shift.
