Lovense's Glint Responds to Your Touch—Not Your Phone

Lovense launches Glint, a touch-responsive butt plug for couples that syncs vibrations to your partner's thrust. No remote needed—just skin contact. Here's how it works.

Lovense just dropped something different. It's called Glint, and it's a butt plug designed specifically for couples to wear during sex. But here's the twist: instead of relying on a remote or an app to control the vibrations, Glint responds to touch. Literally. A sensor in the base reads skin contact and adjusts the intensity accordingly. So when your partner's body presses against it during intercourse, the toy reacts in real time. That might sound like a small thing, but it's actually a big shift. Most couple toys still take their cues from a phone or a remote—someone has to actively change the settings. Glint takes its cues from the couple's own movement. As Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense, puts it: "For years, we've been thinking about one question: What should a toy for couples to use during sex look like, and what should it do?" Their answer is Glint—a toy that responds to the natural rhythm of sex rather than demanding attention. ### How It Works (and Why It Matters) Glint is worn anally, with the base staying outside the body. That base is where the magic happens. It's covered in a touch sensor that detects how much skin is in contact, at what angle, and for how long. Then it translates that into vibration across five intensity levels. A fingertip gets a subtle response. A palm—or a partner's thrust—gets a stronger one. You set it up once in the Lovense Remote app. Choose your sensitivity and one of three response modes: - **Pulse:** Gives up to three rhythmic pulses per touch-and-hold. - **Sustain:** Vibrates for as long as skin stays on the base. - **Crescendo:** Starts low, builds while contact continues, then resets. After that, your phone can go back in the drawer. No fumbling for controls mid-action. At just 0.84 inches (21.5 mm) and 55 grams, Glint is small enough for beginners and doesn't compete for space during intercourse. That's a common concern with wearable couple vibrators—stores hear it all the time. Glint sidesteps that issue by staying out of the way. ### Partner Play and Toy Sync During intercourse, each thrust against Glint's base triggers vibration, so the anal stimulation moves in time with your rhythm. In foreplay, a partner's hand on the base does the same. Either partner can wear it. But Glint doesn't just work solo. Through Toy Sync, it can also control other Lovense devices. If your partner wears the Edge 2 prostate massager, each thrust or touch against Glint's base changes the vibration in both toys simultaneously. Glint also pairs with Lush 4 and Gush 2 Motion. One touch can reach several devices across the Lovense ecosystem. In pre-launch testing, the response during intercourse became automatic—it simply followed the movement. For retailers, Glint belongs on the shelf with couple toys and beginner anal toys, not fill-oriented plugs. Lovense's own messaging leads with anal stimulation synced to a partner's thrust, not vibration strength. ### Touch Records and Creator Features Touch Records is an optional feature, off by default. Users can switch it on in the Remote app to see touch frequency and duration after each session. For creators, Glint works with Lovense's tip-activated streaming tools, just like the rest of the range. So what's the big deal? Glint isn't just another app-controlled toy. It's a toy that responds to you—your body, your movement, your partner. And that might just change how couples think about toys during sex. As Liu says, "We hope to change couples' view of toys during sex, and even their habits." If Glint delivers on its promise, it might do exactly that.
